About

Change is part of life. Sometimes it unfolds slowly within you and cracks your foundations. Other times, life forces changes on you and leaves you wondering how to move forward. Wherever it comes from, change can be destabilizing.

If you’re moving through a transition, you may feel unmoored, cut loose from what once grounded you. You may be on a path you never expected to travel.

Change brings endings. It asks you to close chapters in your life. Often it means saying goodbye to places, people, roles, and parts of yourself. Before new chapters begin, you need a space to work through grief about what you’re leaving behind.

Sara Andrews Therapy Boulder

Life will rush you forward and demand your attention. But before new chapters begin you need time to pause - time to rest, reflect, and take stock of your situation. It’s important to recognize the lessons and blessings you’ve gathered so far. You need space to reconnect with yourself and prepare for what comes next.

It is a true honor that clients trust me with their most vulnerable selves, and I hold that trust with great respect. My goal is to walk alongside you through your transformation, supporting your growth, strengthening your confidence, and helping you find your footing on your path forward.

With the right support, you can be more than just okay after a life change. You’ll be wiser, stronger, more compassionate, and more resilient.

“We cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are. Then change seems to come about almost unnoticed.”

Carl R. Rogers

My Approach

Seeking out a therapist requires bravery and vulnerability. When you come to your first session, I already see those qualities in you.

I see every client as a unique individual and will tailor counseling to your specific needs. Our work together will be focused on your strengths and values, because living in alignment with what’s most important brings a deeper sense of peace and confidence.

I use a person-centered and relational approach that will help you to become friends with your mind and heart. We’ll use skills like self-compassion, grounding, and mindfulness, along with evidence-based frameworks like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, parts work, and family systems theories to provide structure and direction in our work. I’m a Level 2 Gottman-trained couples counselor.

Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs — learn to approach them with curiosity rather than judgment— and use them as guides toward healing and growth.

My approach is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and rooted in compassion. I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment—and trust that your story will be held with care.

You deserve a space where you can feel seen and supported. My approach blends warmth, curiosity, and evidence-based strategies to help you build lasting resilience and positive growth.
